5、6月可謂是充滿家庭溫暖的月份，除了上週的母親節及6月的父親節外，5月15日亦為國際家庭日(International Day of Families)。
1989年12月8日，第44屆聯合國大會通過一項決議，宣佈1994年為國際家庭年(International Year of the Family)，希望世人用生命和愛心去建立溫暖的家庭。1993年2月，聯合國大會通過第47/237號決議，並決定將每年的5月15日設為國際家庭日，以此提高大家對有關家庭問題的意識，亦希望加強有關保護和援助家庭方面的國際間合作。
不少香港打工仔奉獻大部分時間於工作上，犧牲了和家人相處的時間，更有可能產生不少家庭問題。希望大家藉?國際家庭日，多多關心家庭中的每一位成員。
