The MBA Admissions Committee aims to select those applicants whose communication skills, demonstrated leadership, intellectual capability and academic background meet the challenging demands of the UNI MBA program. Our admissions process is highly personalized with respect to each applicant's accomplishments. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited university or college. Admission decisions are based upon the information submitted by the applicant.

The University of Northern Iowa conferred degrees on MBA candidates during the most recent graduation ceremony held in Hong Kong in June. UNI President William N. Ruud made his first visit to the UNIMBA Hong Kong site and presided at the ceremony. Since starting the program in 2001, more than 40 UNI faculty have traveled to Hong Kong to teach in the program. Students are working professionals, with many holding high-level management positions. In addition to its AACSB accreditation, UNIMBA has been recognized as a Best Business School by Princeton Review for 9 consecutive years and by U.S. News and World Reports as a top 100 part-time MBA program....
The UNI MBA program welcomed 13 students from its Hong Kong program to the University of Northern Iowa campus in early May 2014. These students had been taking the same courses and receiving the same education half-way around the world, and on May 9 they got to take part in the same graduation ceremony as their Iowa-based counterparts.....
